SIMPLE ROUTE TO CYBER ESSENTIALS CERTIFICATION
Fortis has a simple methodology to help you achieve certification:
Complete your self-assessment questionnaire (SAQ) on the Fortis online portal
A certified Fortis CE assessor will review your answers
A report will be generated and sent back to you
If a pass at this stage then you will receive your certificate
If a fail, remediate any failed items within 2 days and re-submit responses
Fortis will review remediated responses
An updated report will be generated and sent back to you
If a pass then receive your certificate, if still a fail, remediate fail sections and re-start the CE certification process
WHY CYBER ESSENTIALS?
If you are a company who wants to demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding customer data and ensuring you are guarded against a cyberattack, then the CE certification is certainly for you as Cyber attacks come in many shapes and sizes, but the vast majority are very basic in nature, carried out by relatively unskilled individuals.
Cyber Essentials advise the use of five technical controls, specifically designed to prevent these attacks, which include malware, ransomware and phishing.
Cyber Essentials is appropriate for your business if you want a base-level security certification to demonstrate that you have key technical controls in place and as a company you take cyber security seriously.
